    Yet another reason why cPanel kicks plesk’s 455. We just inherited a large site hosted on plesk and being a few gigs, extracting to another server was going to be a pain.

    Thanks for the utility, it saved us some time :)

    Some dev bloggers need to link to this page to make it more prominent in search results (I don’t have one).

      Glad to hear the tool helped! cPanel really is better IMO but sometimes we don’t have a choice on the matter :( .

        Agreed. But utilities such as this takes away some of the pain using plesk. Win Hosts File Editor http://www.bustercollings.com/freeware/ is another utility that’s good for pre-domain testing of the site. Now you and I would just edit the hosts file. But ask a visual designer to do that and you get zombie eyes. On cPanel, predomain viewing is just [server-ip]/~username/

    I need to backup and restore the email part of a website. And i made a backup just for email. But when i use Pleskdump and i browse to domain.com__mn_1112091008.tgz, it doesn’t show anything. Do i use your prog. correctly??
