Yet another reason why cPanel kicks plesk’s 455. We just inherited a large site hosted on plesk and being a few gigs, extracting to another server was going to be a pain.
Thanks for the utility, it saved us some time
Some dev bloggers need to link to this page to make it more prominent in search results (I don’t have one).
Agreed. But utilities such as this takes away some of the pain using plesk. Win Hosts File Editor http://www.bustercollings.com/freeware/ is another utility that’s good for pre-domain testing of the site. Now you and I would just edit the hosts file. But ask a visual designer to do that and you get zombie eyes. On cPanel, predomain viewing is just [server-ip]/~username/
Hey.. I tried this with a backup from a Plesk 8.6 backup and it.. just.. doesn’t… show any contents. Eh.. help?! Am I doing something wrong? And if so, what is it?
I need to backup and restore the email part of a website. And i made a backup just for email. But when i use Pleskdump and i browse to domain.com__mn_1112091008.tgz, it doesn’t show anything. Do i use your prog. correctly??
Thank you, just what I needed when I needed it.
Thanks you are my hero!
Thanks
that just saved me so much work it isn’t funny. As a rookie i just presumed i would be able to extract the backup normally but nope
Thank you a lot. I am happy that I found it.
CHAMPION!

Glad to hear the tool helped! cPanel really is better IMO but sometimes we don’t have a choice on the matter
